Chile-Bolivia-B&W Reportage

These black and white landscape photographs were taken in 1994 in the “moon Valley” , an area of the Atacama desert in Chile which is said to look like the surface of the moon . I took those environmental portraits in La Paz, Bolivia in 1994 with a medium format camera, Mamiya C330. La Paz is located in the valleys of the Andes. The city sits in a « bowl » surrounded by the high mountains of the altiplano. Bolivia is the most Indian country in South America and the language primarily Quechua.
